Mardi Gras/Carnival? Link to this post

I'm a little confused - is Mardi Gras the same as Carnival? Can I use Carnival lesson ideas for Mardi Gras? And what date is it this year? Thanks

Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday, Shrove Tuesday, etc.) is the last day of the Carnival season. Carnival is celebrated in Europe as well as other parts of the world, while only Mardi Gras is typically known to Americans.
So yes, you can use any of the Carnival lessons on Mardi Gras - most have to do with the overall theme of bright colors, costumes, and silliness. Have fun!
