Personal Data

Processing of your personal data occurs solely in connection with the opening of a customer account, registration for a newsletter, ordering of a subscription or ordering in our shop.

Only once you have opened an account, signed up for our newsletter, ordered a subscription or ordered a product from our shop will your personal information (namely: name, address, date of birth, sex, e-mail address and phone number) be collected and – if you have not consented to any further data processing –  requested, saved, combined, transferred and used exclusively for the purpose of fulfilling the desired contract or responding to your inquiry (see Art 6 (1) lit. b GDPR). We share your data with third-party contractors only when necessary for fulfilling the desired contract, such as, for example, providing your name and address to a postal service to deliver a product or providing an encrypted transaction number to a payment service like PayPal or financial institutions such as Deutsche Bank or UniCredit.

Some of these third parties, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), exist outside the European Union; however, we make sure when selecting third party contractors that they comply with the EU GDPR. We only share your information in countries that, according to the European Commission, maintain an appropriate level of data protection, comparable to that of the EU.

Only after you have given your consent according to Art 6 (1) lit. a GDPR will we use your provided information for other purposes, such as sending our newsletter; the exact usage is clarified in the relevant declaration of consent. Revocation of consent is possible at any time, but please be aware that after this revocation we can continue to process any data necessary for the fulfillment of remaining contracts or legal obligations.

Duration of Storage

Your data will be stored with us only as long as we consider reasonably necessary for fulfilling the above-mentioned contracts and as long as permissible under applicable law. We store your data as long as legal storage obligations exist or until statutes of limitations of potential legal claims have expired.

Data from our Free Trial subscribers will be deleted automatically after 6 months.

Data from our full subscribers will be deleted after the legal statute of limitations (7 years).

Data from forum users will be deleted automatically after 1 year of inactivity.

The deletion of your personal data can be requested at service@kigaportal.com, as long as no legal obligations to store your data exist.
